At the same time, the Hettite cities TUVANUVA (Tiana) and NAHITA (Nigdi) flourished, especially Tuvanuva, its status raised, when one of the princes of Hattusa was appointed there commander. Apart from there important cities, inscriptions were found in other regions of Kappadokia, mostly at Bor, Adaval, Giouloudaj, Eregli, Ivriz and elsewhere. Around 1500BC the old kingdom of Hettites callapsed. Fifty years later under the leadership of Tounhaligia (1450-1420), their empire was set up again until approximately 1200, when other Indo-European tribes came to the area, “the people of the sea”. They destroyed the empire of Hettites as wellas others including Mycanac. One of the tribes that took actine part in the dounfall of Hettites were the Frygianes, an ancient tribe of the Balkan peninsula who crossed the sea to Asia Minor. There, they established their authority having their cities on the ruins of the cities of Hettites. When the Frygians appeared, all the cities of Hettites were destroued and Hettites never again appeared in history.
